Who we are

Eye Kandi - Custom Paint, Airbrushing, Art & Pinstriping. Established in Quincy, Illinois in June 2003, Later relocating to wonderful Las Vegas, Nevada in late 2023.

Currently, this site is under construction as we make this new transition.

My story began in 1995 after graduating from Quincy Technical Schools in Collision Repair and Refinishing. Why did I choose this career path? After seeing my first custom hot rod and minitruck I was hooked. I knew I wanted to build and paint some of my own! I picked my first set of airbrushes in 1997 devoted to learning some shadowing and highlighting techniques as well as special effects that were trending in the west coast minitruck scene. After many years of practice and execution I followed the trend which became highly more detailed into murals. Coming from a childhood filled with bmx and skateboarding I was always heavily influenced by attention grabbing colorful graphics. Continuing with more training and experience in both paint and body as well as graphic design, we later established Eye Kandi - Custom Paint, Airbrushing, Art & Design. It’s been quite the journey, ( top photo ) myself with a demo tank for Eye Kandi in 2003, ( bottom photo ) laying the trending “true fire” on a hood in 2012. After many years in the industry we have done everything from award winning hot rods, motorcycles to guitars and even Olympic helmets. As I gotten older I fine myself delving more and more into finer arts taking on the occasional commissioned fine art piece. From graphics to murals to fine art, “What can we work together on?” I am excited to hear your ideas and make things happen!
